 Interview For Bank PO

Ramesh Kumar has graduated in Electronic Communication ( B.Tech).He was called in for an interview for PO from  SBI Bank.He is waiting for the call for interview in waiting Hall with relaxed posture.when his name is called for interview,he walks with confidence towards the interview room and seeks permission to enter.

Ramesh-: Good morning sirs.

Chairman-: Good morning Mr.Ramesh,please take your seat.

Ramesh-: Thank you sir.

Chairman-: Mr.Ramesh,you are an Engineer.Before we proceed further,please introduce yourself.

Ramesh-: Sir,I am Ramesh Kumar I am Resident of Delhi.After doing 10+2, I got admitted in Electronic Communication course.Aftet graduation, I joined Infosis in 2016.

Chairman-: your marks in 10+2 and Engineering suggest that you have been a sincere student.you got a technical degree and a good placement in a reputed IT company.However, you did not opt for continuing the IT job.

Ramesh-: No doubt, Infosys is a reputed IT company , but I always aspired to shape my career in banking service.

Member 1-: what is handshaking?

Ramesh-: Sir, in information technology , telecommunication and related field , handshaking is an automated process of negotiation , that dynamically sets parameters of communication channel established between two entities before normal communication over the channel begins.It follows the physical establishment of the channel and precedes normal information transfer.

Member 1-: OK Mr Ramesh ,Now, tell me about RBI's objective in setting up payment banks.


Ramesh-: The objective behind creating payment banks is to bring about financial inclusion , by making it easier for anyone to get a bank account .The aim is to provide bank accounts to people in villages ,to bring them into digital economy ,to send money, buy goods and services through the digital economy.The new payment banks will also make people less dependent on cash.

Member 1-: what is current account in a bank? Are there any specific conditions to open a current account ?

Ramesh-: Sir, it is a type of bank account on which a customer may draw cheques up to the amounts of the credit balance in the account , or beyond it to an agreed over draft limit.Sir, there are no specific conditions to open a current account.These are basically meant for businessman and are never used for the purpose of investment or savings.

Member 2-: what is NABARD ? Why it was set up ?

Ramesh-: Sir,NABARD is the National Bank for Agreeculture and Rural Development.It was set up in July, 1982.NABARD was set up to act as refinancing institution for Agreeculture and rural production units.Its purpose is to expand and strengthen the structure of rural credit including the finance to cottage and scale units.

Member 2-: Have you heard of Kisan Credit Card Scheme? What exactly this facility is?

Ramesh-: Sir,with a view to make  credit easily available for farmers, the government introduced Kisan Credit Card Scheme in 1998-99. The Scheme has been taken up by 27 commercial banks and Regional Rural banks, 183 Central Cooperative Banks and 144 Regional Rural banks for implementation











Chairman-: what do you understand by private banking?

Ramesh-: Banking services offered to high net worth individuals is called private banking.Financial institutions offering private banking to earn commission by providing quality assistance to their high net worth customers in investing their money. By private we mean that the services are provided and tailored on a more personal basis.

Chairman-: What is PIN or Personal Identification Number?

Ramesh-: PIN is the numeric password which is separately mailed or handed over to the customers by the bank while issuing  a debit or credit card.Without PIN one can not do any financial transactions.

Member 2 -: What is Forex Market ?

Ramesh-: Sir,the Forex or Foreign Exchange market is the place where currencies are traded. Currency exchange is a must to conduct foreign trade and business.

Chairman-: Do you play any sports ,Mr Ramesh ?

Ramesh-: yes sir, I play football at least on weekends. I am find of watching  football games at TV.
